- Created an Inter-company template that assisted a company with reconciling foreign assets / liabilities / and related
mark to market for 12 foreign affiliates. This reduced reconciliation time from 2 weeks
to 3 days.
- Created a visual basic macro that formatted an 80 page utilization by location
report with a click of a button. This reduced the time to distribute a final report
to management by days.
- Re-engineered and automated the maintenance of fixed assets.
One improvement was that upon the change of date, the schedule would identify by changing cell colors, which assets were to
be written off. This ensured proper treatment of fixed assets.
- Created a form that, when provided with the necessary detail, automatically
calculated whether a lease is of an operating or financing nature. This ensured proper
treatment of leases in accordance with FASB 13 standards.
- Created a workers compensation
form for a law firm that calculates eligible benefits based on specific parameters. This
form has become invaluable to the attorneys and has been implemented firm wide.
- Automated
the preparation of financial statements. By utilizing specific formulas, Actual v Budget, MTD and YTD values were seamlessly
updating by just changing the date of the reports. This was extremely beneficial to
the accounting group as it assisted them in the accurate and timely completion of a very important deliverable.
